River in forest

River in forest. This is Giber Å (Giber River) in Moesgaard Forest, but I've changed the background and some of the trees, so it's partly an imagined scene.

Watercolor, 40 x 30 cm, on Saunders Waterford HP 300 g paper.

In addition to "normal" watercolors, I've also used a lot of white - both chinese white for lightening certain areas, and titan white for some leaves, and finally some white gouache for the white parts of the river.

Forest - once again

This is a new version of the painting from the previous post from Lisbjerg Forest! This time without the sunbeams - and this time I used watercolor. And this time the proportions are more correct, on the previous one, in oil, I had compressed the height to make the trees fit on a canvas, and something wasn't right about that. I didn't paint the sunbeams this time, because I wanted a different feel to this forest picture.

Watercolor, 24 x 36 cm, on Fabriano Studio 300 g CP paper.
